Editorial Policy

TruckDistrictUSA exists to give US pickup truck buyers and owners clear, sourced information. This policy explains how we choose, research, write, check, update and correct our work.

Independence

TruckDistrictUSA is an independent publication. We are not affiliated with any automaker, dealer or industry group, and none of them reviews or approves our articles before publication. If we ever receive a vehicle loan, a trip, a product or payment connected to an article, the article says so plainly.

Sources

We rely first on primary sources: manufacturer announcements, spec sheets, owner’s manuals and towing guides for the exact model year and configuration; fueleconomy.gov for EPA fuel economy estimates; and NHTSA for recalls and safety ratings. Every article lists its sources and the date each one was checked.

Confirmed facts, estimates and rumors

We separate what a manufacturer has officially confirmed from forecasts, renderings and reports. Anything unconfirmed is labelled as such, with who reported it and when. We never invent specifications, prices, release dates or quotes.

How we use AI

Articles may be AI-assisted. We use AI tools to help organize research, outline articles and prepare first drafts. AI does not decide what we publish. Before any article goes live, a human editor:

  • checks every figure, date and claim against its source;
  • removes anything that can’t be verified;
  • reviews the article for accuracy, fairness, originality and clarity;
  • confirms we have the right to use every image;
  • approves it for publication.

Nothing is published automatically, and we do not mass-produce articles.

Testing claims

We only say we drove, tested or owned a vehicle when that actually happened. Comparisons based on published specifications say so.

Images

We use our own photos and footage, manufacturer press images where their terms allow, and other properly licensed images. We do not present AI-generated images as real photographs.

Keeping articles current

Specifications, prices, availability and release information change, sometimes during a model year. Each article shows when it was last fact-checked, and we re-check articles when manufacturers announce changes. Routine updates, such as a new price or model year, refresh that date.

Corrections

When we fix an error, we note the date and what changed at the end of the article. See our Corrections Policy to report a mistake.

Affiliate links, sponsorships and advertising

If we use affiliate links, publish sponsored content or show ads, they are clearly disclosed, as described in our Affiliate Disclosure. Commercial partners never decide what we cover or conclude.
