Copyright & DMCA Policy

Effective date: October 31, 2026

We respect the work of photographers, writers, video creators and manufacturers, and we expect the same for ours. This page explains how you may use TruckDistrictUSA content and how to report material on our site that you believe infringes your copyright.

Our content

Unless stated otherwise, the text, tables, graphics, logo, photos and videos on truckdistrictusa.com are © Jawad Altaf. Manufacturer press images and other third-party material remain the property of their owners and are used under their terms or with permission.

You may quote a short passage with credit to TruckDistrictUSA and a link to the original article. For anything more, such as republishing an article, table or image, ask first at business@truckdistrictusa.com.

How we use other people’s work

We use our own photos and footage, manufacturer press images where the manufacturer’s terms allow, and other images we have a license or permission to use. We credit sources. If you believe we have used your work without permission, or credited it wrongly, please tell us; most of these questions are settled quickly by email.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act for one, and you believe material on our site infringes that copyright, send a written notice that includes:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. a description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
  3. the exact page address (URL) of the material on our site, and which part of the page it is;
  4. your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  6. a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Send it to our copyright contact:

Copyright contact: Editor, TruckDistrictUSA
Email: contact@truckdistrictusa.com (subject “Copyright notice”)

What happens next

  1. We confirm we received your notice.
  2. We review it. If information is missing, we ask you for it.
  3. If the notice is complete, we remove the material or disable access to it.
  4. If someone else posted the material, for example in a comment, we tell them it was removed and send them a copy of the notice.

Counter-notices

If material you posted was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same contact. It must include:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. a description of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
  3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  4. your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We will send a copy of a complete counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.

Please be accurate

Under US law, a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. If you are not sure whether a use infringes your rights, such as a short quotation in a review, consider getting advice first.

Repeat infringers

We will stop accepting comments and other submissions from anyone who repeatedly posts infringing material.
