General information, not advice

Our articles and videos are general information about pickup trucks. They are not financial, legal, insurance, mechanical or safety advice, and they don’t take your circumstances into account. Before you buy, finance, insure, modify or repair a vehicle, talk to a qualified professional for your situation.

Specifications, prices and dates change

Truck information goes out of date quickly. Specifications, towing and payload ratings, fuel economy estimates, prices, incentives, trim and option availability, and release dates:

  • differ by model year, trim, engine, axle ratio, cab, bed, drivetrain and installed options;
  • can differ by region and dealer;
  • are changed by manufacturers, sometimes in the middle of a model year.

Each article shows when it was last fact-checked, and the figures are correct to our knowledge on that date. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Before you buy, confirm the details for the exact vehicle with the manufacturer or dealer.

Upcoming trucks and rumors

Coverage of future models separates what a manufacturer has officially confirmed from reports, forecasts and renderings. Anything we label as unconfirmed may turn out to be wrong, and release dates and prices for upcoming trucks are estimates until the manufacturer announces them.

Towing and payload safety

Published towing and payload figures are maximums for specific configurations. Your truck’s real limits are on its own labels (the door-jamb certification and tire-and-loading labels) and in its owner’s manual and the manufacturer’s towing guide. Never exceed them, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for hitches, weight distribution and trailer brakes.

How our articles are made

Articles may be prepared with the help of AI tools. Every article is reviewed and fact-checked by a human editor against its sources before it is published. Our Editorial Policy explains the process. If you spot a mistake, our Corrections Policy explains how to tell us.

Testing and experience

Unless an article says we drove, tested or owned a vehicle, comparisons are based on published specifications and other cited sources, not our own testing.
